Speedy Spin

Speedy Spin is an operations system built for Speedy Spin Dry Cleaning, a two-branch business in Kibuli and Namuwongo, Kampala. The business had no shared system for tracking invoices, payments, garment status or staff activity across its two branches, making it hard for the owner to know what was happening on the shop floor or in the books without being physically present. The project required a deep understanding of the domain and a meticulous approach to user experience design. We needed to build something that was not only visually stunning but also incredibly fast and reliable at scale.

A Go API backs a Wails desktop app used at the counter for intake, invoicing, payments and expenses; an Expo mobile app gives the owner live dashboards, damage alerts and expense approvals; and a Next.js marketing site drives local SEO. Every invoice, payment and message runs through the same branch-scoped API, with WhatsApp-first customer messaging (Wasender) falling back to SMS via the Wesendall gateway.
