This Privacy Policy explains how Desishub Technologies ("Desishub", "we", "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information when you visit www.desishub.com, contact us, hire us for services, or enroll in our training programs.

We operate from Kampala, Uganda and follow the principles of the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019. If you are in another jurisdiction, the protections of your local data-protection law may also apply.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

We collect personal information only in these ways:

Information you give us directly — name, email, phone number, company, and any details you share through our contact, quote, application, or enrollment forms.
Project information — files, credentials, designs, and data you provide so we can deliver the service you hired us for.
Automatic technical information — IP address, browser, device type, pages visited, and referrer URL, collected through privacy-respecting analytics tools.
Cookies — small text files used to keep the site working (e.g. dark-mode preference) and to measure aggregate traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information only for these purposes:

Responding to enquiries, quotes, and support requests.
Delivering the products, software, or training services you purchased.
Sending invoices, receipts, and project status updates.
Improving the website, our services, and the educational content we produce.
Sending product news and offers — only if you have explicitly opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Meeting our legal, tax, and accounting obligations under Ugandan law.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your data. We only share it with:

Service providers we rely on to operate (e.g. hosting on Vercel, email via Resend, payments via mobile-money and bank partners). These providers are bound by contractual privacy obligations.
Legal authorities when we are legally required to do so (court orders, regulators, tax authorities).

We never share client codebases, credentials, or designs with anyone outside the engagement without written consent.

5. How long we keep your data

We retain enquiry and prospect data for up to 24 months. Active client and project records are kept for at least 7 years to meet Ugandan tax-record requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymized. You may request earlier deletion subject to our legal obligations.

6. Your rights

Under the Uganda Data Protection and Privacy Act, you have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Request deletion of your data, subject to legal exceptions.
Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
Withdraw consent at any time for processing that relies on consent.
Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Office.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS, encrypted backups, access controls on production systems, and least-privilege credentials. No system is 100% secure — if a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you in line with applicable law.

8. Children

Our services are intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 except where required for school-age training programs, in which case we obtain parent/guardian consent.

9. Third-party links

This site links to third-party websites (LinkedIn, GitHub, YouTube, payment providers). We are not responsible for their privacy practices — please review their own policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, for material changes, notify active clients by email.
