Shypt

Shypt is a warehouse, order and freight management system built for Shypt Company Limited in Kampala, connecting Ugandan shoppers and businesses to personalized warehouse addresses in six countries. It covers the full pipeline from client onboarding through receipt, consolidation, dispatch, customs holds, billing and collection. The project required a deep understanding of the domain and a meticulous approach to user experience design. We needed to build something that was not only visually stunning but also incredibly fast and reliable at scale.

A Go/Postgres API enforces the pipeline's hard invariants — air and sea shipments never mix, release requires second-officer approval, and unpaid invoices block collection — while a client web portal, a staff admin panel, an offline-first Wails desktop app for warehouse agents and a mobile app all consume the same API under server-enforced RBAC. Clients onboard passwordlessly via a 6-digit email OTP. Pre-launch.
