The Challenge
FundPier is a multi-tenant loan management platform for microfinance institutions. It needed to handle the full loan lifecycle — application, KYC, approval, disbursement, repayments, and partner-level reporting — across multiple SACCO partners without leaking data between tenants. The project required a deep understanding of the domain and a meticulous approach to user experience design. We needed to build something that was not only visually stunning but also incredibly fast and reliable at scale.
Our Solution
We shipped three connected web platforms: a public marketing site at fundpier.net, a client portal where borrowers see their loans and repayment schedules, and an admin portal where loan officers approve disbursements and run partner-level reports. Built on Next.js with a Go (Gin) backend, PostgreSQL for storage, Cloudflare R2 for documents, all containerised with Docker. Currently in pilot — 20+ loans processed during testing.
